I never raced at Bristol MSW Blue. That was four NASCAR levels above my lowly station in life, (West Coast Charger Series).

But short track is short track I reckon. In those times as it is currently, the seat went really high on the right side and did forward wrap around on the right rib cage, there was a right headrest, horse color and five-point harness. Never worried much about hair squish but I did have a major concern with the submarine harness that went between my legs. I had a vision of a solid hit in the front and subsequently no longer thinking the Budweiser Gals were a major turn?er?well, you know. :ek:

Scamp -
Funny story to share with ya... In service I had a moonlight job working as a grinder for a wrencher welder type farmer guy out close to town... one of those guys whose fingernails are always black.
I grinded on plow tips and what all, and he'd weld and build stuff... one of which was an old coupe of some kind, nice looking thing. He had put a lot of money and a lot more time into building a huge V8 bbl this and cam that and somethin' else this and so on, all spanking new clean painted and ready to go. Fired her up in the garage, and she ran... fiddled a little with some settings and then hollered for me to get in, we were going for a spin!
Got her out on the gravel in front of the place. He sat there a minute revving and appreciating the pipes, then took her several RPM and popped clutch... the thing went about 12 feet and blew a rod.

:-)

Default Kid "CRock"

VFW Angry With Kid Rock For Wearing Flag

Forget about Janet Jackson -- the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization is angry at hit rocker Kid Rock.

The VFW is upset that media outlets are ignoring Rock's poncho made by cutting a slit in an American flag during the Super Bowl halftime show Sunday.

The VFW's commander-in-chief, Edward Banas Sr., said Kid Rock's outfit was "in poor taste and extremely disrespectful."

Banas said the NFL, MTV and CBS have issued apologies for Justin Timberlake ripping Janet Jackson's clothes, but they've said nothing about Kid Rock.

The musician's people could not be reached for comment.

Default the inevitable lawsuit

FEBRUARY 5--It took almost three days, but the first lawsuit has been filed in connection with Janet Jackson's breast. A Tennessee woman yesterday filed a proposed class action lawsuit "on behalf of all Americans" who watched the Super Bowl halftime show and were somehow injured by Miss Jackson's adorned nipple. In the below federal complaint, Terri Carlin, a 47-year-old Knoxville bank employee, contends that Jackson's exposure and other "sexually explicit conduct" during halftime festivities caused viewers to "suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury." Details of those supposed injuries were not further described in the complaint filed by attorney Wayne A. Ritchie II. Along with Jackson, Carlin has named as defendants Justin Timberlake, CBS, MTV, and Viacom. Carlin's complaint seeks compensatory and punitive damages, though an exact dollar figure is not specified. But it seems billions would be in order since Carlin notes that punitive damages should not exceed the gross revenues of all defendants for the past three years.

I hope they lose their breast lawsuits, and I hope somebody does something about cutting slits in flags and wearing them as panchos... ANY flags.

Check out this website posted by the Northeastern University Police. There are a bunch of pics of students engaged in destruction of private property after the Super Bowl. They ask that if anyone recognizes anyone in the photos, to contact the NU police with information.
