I hope the Yankees enjoyed this brief victory lap. Every series is a mini-marathon, not a sprint and there's still 6 games to go.

Default well

I remember a car accident. The guy hit a tree, was pinned and we needed the jaws of life. Being alert (him at least) I spoke to him. He told me he couldn't feel his legs. Told him doctors can do amazing things and to just hang in there. He said, he wasn't that worried. He said, "I'm an optimist, have to be, I'm a Red Sox fan."

Shilling's ankle falls apart in game one. Could that be a curse? The churchs are full again, we're all praying that Pedro with make the Evil Empire prey.

Stay healthy,
Andy

I agree, and as Yogi would say.."it's not over til it's over". The games between Boston and New York are always nail biters and it should be an exciting ALCS but The Curse Of The Bambino will prevail

I'd like to see the Red Sox win it. But a perfect game in the playoffs, like Mussina had going, would have been a once in a lifetime thing to see. When did Drysdale do it? '56? 57?

Don Larson did it for the Yankee's in '56. Pretty sure Drysdale did it but not in the World Series. Can still see Yogi jumping up on Larson after the last out. Damn it.

Post Those Yankees

Stole the best defensive First Baseman in Baseball from the Mariners. Stupidest trade ever. He'll contribute greatly to winning of the world series for the those Damn Yankees. Why the Mariners let Olerud go is beyond me. He was having a sub par hitting year but that glove at first base was amazing.
