Had a another wonderful day. This not working is not a bad gig ;-D
I put in for unemployment online and am interested to see what I may get out of it. I am mailing my VA claim material tomorrow ( doctor's records ). I'm going to the Vet Center tomorrow to fill out the paperwork to go to the New Orleans VA hospital for six-week PTSD in-patient treatment. I can't think of a better place to go in this area for that. Downside will be no drinking...that will be very difficult !!!

I drove west to Hardeman Co. TN. ( about 70 miles away ) to take care of some real estate business, and visited with my uncle. He was in the Korean War in a TN. National Guard artillery unit ( a battalion of 155s ). This was the first time I had heard a lot of his stories about Korea and I felt honored. I could not believe how dry everything was for this time of year. Not sure what that means. My allergies were giving me hell today, but I still enjoyed every minute of my new found freedom ( read : retirement ). I stunned my wife by telling her I will start cooking and washing clothes..this will leave her with nothing to bitch about.. LOL LOL LOL...NOT !!!

P.P.S : gas was higher west of here. the highest I saw was $ 1.95 premium..if it ever gets over $ 2.00, it will never come down again. What is the price in California now ?
