Default Black Hawk Down?

Anyone know what happened with the helicopter? I have a good friend at Ft. Drum. I am not getting much news about it.

I'm waiting for news too. Good friends still at Drum. I'm praying for the best and hope the ELT leads rescue crews to them quick.

I"ve been checking with CNN and nothing has come across the media wires. Did this just happen this AM or last night sometime?

Just curious, but I can't figure out why the staff at Drum won't give details other than that their were 2 survivors? If we know that 11 were aboard, we can do the math, but what the heck is going on? Has the Army that I loved for so many years become political pansy asses?

Flyboy,

Regrets to the loss of your friends. These accidents are a little more common now - any idea why we are having so many military aircraft accidents? Can't all be human error - even though they would like us to believe that.

Maybe the survivor's can shed some light on what happen and why. What a shame to loose such young warriors at a time like this.

After reading some of the posts here about mouthy punk soldiers and hearing from some friends that are still in, the answer is yes. The Army that I once knew has become a bunch of political wussys with wet behind the ear "Army Of One" punks from Generation X and Y.

God help our experienced leaders so that they may get through this tough time and deal with the inexperienced punks. Yes. I was wet behind the ears too when I was 17, but that was "back in the day", when you didn't mouth off or you got your ass kicked. I'm old enough to say back in the day, but these punks don't know what day today is!

What a shame

The last two years I served in the Airforce with Clinton as president we had too many Clinton Yes Men in Charge of the military and our funding was terrible every sept we were out of parts we needed and had to resort to canning parts from one plane to fix another seems my supervisors had the same problem with Carter in the 70's . I too am not a fan of the New Army of One ads on TV these kids need to know its teamwork that will keep them alive when they are in a combat situation and when I went into the Airforce in 1980 my supervisors always stressed there was no I in TEAM :-)
