If the US House stands firm and doesn't buckle under the weight of the bogus Senate bill, there will be some decent immigration reform. With the Senate bill favoring such outlandish things as Social Security benefits being extended to the wetbacks, no wonder the House is digging in their heels in opposition.

Hopefully, the bill that eventually becomes law will have very strict penalties for those businesses hiring wetbacks. As I've stated here before, all of my companies, and those I do business with are in a non-negotiable agreement not to hire any wetbacks for any purpose. Our end-product may cost a bit more, but we have no lack of work.

If one would add the $70 billion as mentioned by Prof. Huddle (a figure higher than my earlier estimates) to the $68 billion that the wetbacks send back to Mexico, it adds up to an exorbitant drain on our economy. And that $68 billion is the SECOND largest part of the entire Mexican economy, right behind PEMEX, the state-owned energy company. No wonder Fox doesn't want these people back - his little corrupt third-world hovel would collapse into even worse shape.

And there was no happiness in Mudville with that disclosure, I reckon. As a result, the blabbermouth front-runner didn?t get elected and then even more gloom swept over Mudville with that set of circumstances.

As since the Mexican banks will deal in US dollars faster they they can say "steek up," I'm sure that the guvmint/private bak take is 10-15%, just for starters. Like you said, no risk - free money.
