I got pictures of 875 before, and after 173 took the top and then after a few months, all three look very different.
Ther was a upi photographer with the company that was on the hill, he asked everyone if they wanted pictures. Most guys just looked at him, no answer , just walked away looking at him. 875 was just a hill among hills, there were lots in the area and all were bad places. If I gave anyone the impression that this was a 173/4th operation I was wrong, This was a total 173 operation and those guys were among the best fighters I have ever seen. I have seen one or two Firefights. In our small way I hope we helped the 173rd with there mission and I am proud to say that in Kontum and dak To I was WITH the 173rd. Ron
