Default NASCAR Racing

By any chance,

Did any of you see the NASCAR Race from Indy Sunday ?

Those NASCAR people went to far for the fans of such racing.

A Competetion Yellow about every 12/15 laps to check or change the tires cause of the wear on them.

Just what is NASCAR gonna do next mAKE a port-a-pottie stop every 30 minutes.

Sure I believe in safety, BUT what are the crew cheifs, team owners, drivers for.

They should use their own digression (sp) of when to pit or stay out.

Even the onnoucers ( sp ) said this is a crazy race.

Why did they even televise it???? $$$$$$

Here is the kicker...... Why did Indy even groove the track, when they knew the NASCAR cars are going to race there. The Indy cars will run great on it cause they have rain tires just as do Sprint cars, but look at the weight difference and distribution of that weight.

Tell ya one thing right now, At El Dora Speedway ( of which Tony Stewart ) owns now ever has a race ran like Sundays Indy race, there wont be a soul there..........

enough.............

reeb............

I did not get to watch it but I listened to it. Sounded like it would have been painful to watch. I grew up listening to and then watching NASCAR. I am not as big a fan now since all of the cars are the same and no room for innovation. I still keep my tickets to the Bristol race but even that race is not as exciting as it use to be.

Default Tire Change:

Yep, isn't the decision making process a part of racing. Let the crews make the decision and allow that to be apart of racing. Dumb decision.
I also thought the decision to groove the tracks might be questionable also, if they are going to invite all styles of racing. Surprised the tires fell apart so fast even with the grooves.
I'm not a hard core racing fan but I did watch the last portion of the race, because my son dropped by and wanted to watch it.

In the old days you got to see racing, my feeling was that the race was won by the smarts of the crews and drivers, and who could get away with what (gas stored in the roll bars, etc.) To me NASCAR has taken all the fun out of racing.
