Election time is drawing near,
With precious little for us to cheer,
The field is wrought with naught but hash,
And just the thought gives me a rash.

Think ye not of noble dreams,
We’ll soon be caught up in their schemes,
When truth is crushed and their word is smashed,
We’ll all be heaved into the trash.

So dream a dream of better times,
As into yon White House they all climb,
So drown your woes in seas of suds,
Now close your eyes - you picked these duds....
