Guacamole has been among my favorite snacks for as long as I can remember, and no party at my house is complete without it. Over the years, I have developed my own recipe. Feel free to tone down or amp up the spiciness to meet your crowd’s demands. Ingredients 3 medium Hass avocados ¼ cup diced* jalapeños, most of seeds and membranes removed (leave to increase heat) ¼ cup diced* red onion 1/3 cup diced tomatoes 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro 1 1/3 tablespoon sour cream 1 teaspoon lime juice ½ teaspoon minced garlic ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (add more or omit for heat level) ¼ teaspoon chili powder ¼ teaspoon cumin ½ teaspoon hot sauce, such as Cholula Salt and pepper to taste *For best texture, mince the jalapeños and onion with a mandoline or food chopper.* Directions
