New Army web site for Concurrent Receipt CRSC & New
From: ColonelDan, ColonelDan@worldnet.att.net
Subject: [VeteranIssues] New Army web site for Concurrent Receipt CRSC & New expanded CR Pass this on to all Disabled Army Retirees http://www.crsc.army.mil/ http://www.crsc.army.mil/elig_xpand.htm Do you have questions about the Program? CRSCinfo@hqda.army.mil Check status of your Application 1-866-281-3254 Reconsiderations and Appeals Applicants found ineligible for preliminary CRSC criteria or declined for combat-related disabilities will be notified. Notification will include reasons supporting the decision. In the case that you do not agree with the determination, there are two avenues by which to appeal: Reconsider with APC, enclosing new supporting documentation or; Appeal with the Army Review Boards Agency (ARBA) by filling out a DD Form 149 for the correction of military records. Note: Link will open in a new browser window. http://arba.army.pentagon.mil/ Although the circumstances vary, applicants usually appeal because they have found further information, or documentation that clarifies their eligibility standing. However, if you feel that there is an error in your military records causing you to not meet the preliminary eligibility requirements you may apply for a correction of your military records by filling a DD Form 149 through ARBA. How to Appeal - Suggestions and Considerations Carefully read through the letter of ineligibility - the notification will explain why the determination was made. (Sometimes all that is needed is a simple correction or clarification.) Reconsiderations should first be directed to APC, this is the fastest and most efficient way to resolve your claim. When submitting an appeal provide the most relevant information first. This will ensure that any necessary corrections are made quickly and accurately. Be sure to include: Detailed personal letter explaining your situation Attaching a copy of the correspondence (ineligible/decline) letter with new supporting documentation Documentation of any VA rating change Any new documentation that may positively reverse or improve an award decision. It is not necessary to make several submissions at once, or to submit duplications of previously submitted materials. In the case of recent VA disability rating changes simply send in those relevant pages and they will be matched up with those in the original application. Notification will be sent confirming the receipt of the request for reconsideration and documents. Another letter will be sent once a decision has been made regarding the reconsiderations approval or denial. Please understand that the reconsideration process may take approximately 90 days. ********* Army Board for Correction of Military Records [application procedures : ABCMR] Army Discharge Review Board [application procedures : ADRB ] Army Grade Determination Review Board [application procedures : AGDRB ] I thought you might want to know.
