OT - ABC reconstructs JFK assassination
ABC reconstructs JFK assassination
Associated Press ABC News has conducted an exhaustive investigation of the Kennedy assassination, complete with a computer-generated reconstruction, which irrefutably confirms that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, the network said Monday. A two-hour special on the event is scheduled to air Nov. 20, two days before the 40th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's killing. "IT LEAVES NO ROOM for doubt," said Tom Yellin, executive producer of the special, narrated by Peter Jennings. He called the results of ABC's study "enormously powerful. It's irrefutable." The conclusion that Oswald alone shot Kennedy during a motorcade in Dallas mirrors that of the Warren Commission, the official government inquiry into the assassination. Even today, public opinion surveys find that less half of Americans don't agree with that conclusion, said Gary Mack, curator of the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas. But that reservoir of doubt, largely fed by government secrecy and Oliver Stone's movie on the assassination, is important to address, Yellin said. ABC News worked with an expert who created a computer-generated reconstruction of the shooting based on maps, blueprints, physical measurements, more than 500 photographs, films and autopsy reports, ABC said. It enables a person to view the scene from any number of perspectives, including what Oswald saw from the sixth floor of the former Texas school book depository, Yellin said. "When you do that, it's chillingly clear what happened," Yellin said. He dismisses theories that there was another gunman. RUBY ALSO ACTED ALONE Through interviews and other documentation, ABC News also concludes that Jack Ruby, who later killed Oswald, acted simply out of his love for Kennedy. The computer-generated technology, only available for the past few years, is now frequently used in criminal investigations, Yellin said. While Stone's movie raised doubt in many people's minds about the Warren Commission, it also led to the release of many government documents that had previously been kept hidden and fueled conspiracy theorists, Yellin said. None of the documents offer significant evidence refuting the conclusion that Oswald acted alone, Yellin said. Still, much of Americans' cynicism about their government can be traced to Nov. 22, 1963, making further investigation important even 40 years later, he said. "I think it's very hard for people to accept the fact that the most powerful man in the world can be murdered by a disaffected person whose life had been a series of failures up to that point," Yellin said. Both Yellin and Mack admit that no matter what evidence ABC News lays out, it's not likely to quiet people who believe otherwise. "The history of this subject is pretty clear," Mack said. "No matter what information comes out, people are going to believe what they want." |

Re: OT - ABC reconstructs JFK assassination
I seem to recall one of the former FBI agents who worked the case, Hosty, I
believe provided the best of the evidence that others were involved. The problem is anyone even remotely connected with the case all died, its if a clean up team went into action and snuffed out any witnesses that could be had. Same for Clinton, about 20 or more deaths associated with individuals who could give evidence against Clinton and wife. The most interesting is the case of the RTC investigators killed in the Oklahoma Federal building bombing and the rush to execute McVieh and get him out of the way as well. Even some of his body guards who could have turned states evidence are dead. I would not place to much stock in ABC. The credibility of the Warren Commission is about zero which also ignored a lot of evidence. Then there is the case of a known international terrorist sitting in a French prison who seems to be somewhat involved. However, his lawyers have refused to allow him to talk unless that situation has changed. There was even a motive gone un-investigated by the Warren Commission that involved hundreds of millions of dollars that the Kennedy's had screwed some former Nazi's out of their money that had dragged through the Federal Courts for years that may be a link to Clay Shore, who is also dead. Robert Kennedy personally handled the case on behalf of the DOJ. Oswald could have acted alone. However, others were hunting for Kennedy as well. However, Hosty, has made a scenario based upon an FBI investigation he was involved in conducting. I dont recall all the details, however, I am sure ABC more than likely ignored anything even remotely connected with factual concerns. Also keep in mind that when Clay Shore died - some years later, Richard Helms admitted that he had worked for the CIA. However, Clay was a nut case and a rouge to say the least and his company had close ties with a firm in Italy that fronted for former Nazi war criminals. The case is long from being solved and a lot more classified material will probably be unearth in another 20-30 years when everyone even remotely connected with the case will be long dead and buried. Also, keep in mind the former DA of New Orleans was a former FBI agent as well. Garrison later became a judge and I believe he is dead. However, the bodies are still being counted. The number of dead bodies associated with the Kennedy case over the years is only out matched by the clean up team that is suspected of being hired on by the Clinton's. Even the insurance companies wont insure the best of his friends. Being a friend of Clinton is like having a death wish and he has already been accused and implicated in the murder of some former body guards by their families and that of a State trooper as well. However, the best case scenario seems to be that of Hosty when it comes to the Kennedy business. Its possible that Oswald had no associates directly involved. However, a lot of people wanted the President dead and the plaza seems to have been an ideal place to take the shot- even President Johnson believed others were involved. It also seems that one of Oswald's associates who supplied the weapon fits the same description and name of the guy who was the armorer for the Black terrorist organization years ago. BPP and BLA could have been involved. People have to take a look at the case of James Early Ray as well in this regard. Who knows, ABC did a sloppy job as usual. Also keep in mind the Frenchmen has remain silent for years and will not get out of jail anytime soon and more than likely will die in a French prison. Then there is the actor whose father more than likely played some role as well, the father remains in prison or may also be dead and buried. Hosty, is in his retirement. According to his son some years back he was not in good health and may have suffered some memory loss for all we know. Then there is Jim Angleton, CI CIA and Hoover who seems to have once been on the right track, both men died of natural causes, Jim of cancer, he was a heavy smoker, however, in the CI field he was second to none. Keep in mind that Oswald was said not to have been a great shot anyway, then there is the issue that he would have been obstructed by a tree ! Surely, Johnson would have ordered the Texas rangers in and no one seems to have bothered to even interview them. In order for ABC to have presented all he factors they would have to have aired a show in the form of a series that would have taken weeks if not months to cover all aspects of the case. As far as Warren Commission report is concerned it is the worst piece of garbage ever written. The report does not even meet the standards of a criminal investigation in a homicide case. It is written by lawyers who could not even manage their own lives let alone prepare a case for trial. It is the worst piece of literary trash ever written and anyone FBI, Secret Service, or homicide investigator,or criminal prosecutors with any real credentials knows it. The real evidence is buried in the deaths of good and bad men a like and they are probably laughing from their graves at Jennings and the rest of the god dam assholes at ABC. --------------------- "GrgLnsctt" news:20031028112813.00533.00000194@mb-m12.news.cs.com... > ABC reconstructs JFK assassination > Associated Press > > ABC News has conducted an exhaustive investigation of the Kennedy > assassination, complete with a computer-generated reconstruction, which > irrefutably confirms that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, the network said > Monday.
