Identify this Mauser Pistol?
Don't know if this is a military handgun or not. Picked it up at a yard sale for twenty bucks. No magazine.
Right side of slide: MAUSER - 7,65 Left side of slide: 203XXX WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A-G OBERNDORF A.N MAUSER'S PATENT Right side of receiver: (Mauser logo) No other markings. Pistol has one-piece wooden grip. Pistol will not cock and fire, so I assume it has a magazine disconnect. Rifling is strong, bore is dark, but I see no pitting. It's in good shape, so, unless it's made of inferior steel, it should be safe to fire. I believe 7.65 Mauser converts to US .32 ACP. Can you tell me about this pistol and where I might get a magazine for it? Thanks! Steve / 82Rigger

It's a Mauser Model 1914. Without the Eagle L proof (Military) or Large Eagle over M proof (navy) it's probably a commercial model.
In the condition you describe (Good) it would be worth around $350.00. Numrich Arms has magazines for this and yes, it has a magazine cut off so it cannot be fired without the magazine inserted. |
