Default Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Gosh, let me guess: would I rather be judged to be fit for office, or judged to be a good officer by a group of my peers and subordinates, or by a Harvard professor?

Hey Skeeter.....in case you didn't know...FDR's "New Deal WAS Socialism. That's where it all started in this country.

Bush was absolutely right, and his "Perfesser" was the usual Harvard Left Wing Liberal. Probably hated Bush because he didn't buy into that liberal agenda that his professor was handing out to the class.

Thumbs down SKEETER

Personally, I find you a very mean-spirited individual. As a moderator, I've about had it with your personal attacks of other members. You can come to this forum and participate in all of the character assassinations of politicians that you want. That's up to you and the other people that frequent it on a regular basis. However, if you don't have the command of the English language, or the facts, to no longer keep up your end of the arguement with someone that you disagree with, it doesn't give you the right to stoop to personal attacks of that individual, name calling, or talking disrespectfully about someone else's family members. This has always been THE MOST BASIC RULE of this site. Trust me on this. I'm one of the earliest members of the site, along with some of the one's that you have personally attacked. This is all laid out in the rules of this site. If you haven't read them yet, you need to do so. When you do, you have to choose between abiding by them or not posting on this site.

David is the Moderator of this Forum, along with several other forums. He is also the owner of the site, so often has a full plate of things to keep up with. I will PM him to bring his attention to this Post.

Default Just thinking

Different units, different rules, I guess. I?ve read that Kerry went to the C.O.?s office after at least one injury, having put himself in for a Purple Heart. I found that amazing. In the 25th Division, at least from the summer of 67 thru 68, a person received a Purple Heart if he was taken to a hospital. A man in the field who was dusted off got one, somebody who got a nick and a band aid did not get the award.

I honestly don?t know if Kerry was ever taken to a hospital, won?t loose any sleep over it. Maybe John just needs some campaign advise. Stop implying your some sort of hero, the negative vibes and hoopla will probably go away.

Skeeter, I?d love to interview you face to face, body language tells a lot about a person. It?s sad that you obviously have feelings of inadequacy, all the name dropping is a dead give away. You can?t be well educated. People who resort to personal attacks by telling a bad joke that was old in 1967, usually don?t have the ability to persuade or convince other?s that their opinions are errant. Have you ever considered taking an English 101 course? If you were to offer a set of ideas void of, ?how to kill crabs?, there?s no doubt you?d get more respect. Something I?m sure you crave.

Good luck,
Andy

Seriously, is Asner being suggested as a credible person? Old Asner is a Red, pure and simple, but so what, no paint off my crash bars one way or another unless he opens his yap to spread his sick propaganda. I saw his Redness on a TV interview deal a few months back and he absolutely insisted that the Cambodian holocaust didn?t happen. Asner?s interview sidekick, Tommy Smothers, chimed in that the Cambodian holocaust didn?t happen but if it did, it was the USA that was to blame. So evidently Smothers is an Asner U Grad, eh.

Oh my, oh my, talk about sick and sloppy entertainment value. Mayhaps they should take their little speech to Cambodia and see how it plays out. My sense of it is that it won?t play at all and they might just get an escort back to a port of entry and get their silly butts booted out of the country.

And, it's ED Asner, but I would think a superior mind would know that and have a command of the English language and grammer. Especially an "officer" and, a, oh, never mind.

Just a thought, what is a "Hardvard"????? Is that like Aardvark?

Your buddy,

Packo

Default Can I have my criticism now?

Some here with their replies have criticize me for what they think is poor command of the English language.

David; should you be reading this, it's only a pay-back or rebuttal to their comments here.

frisco-kid

So you think I don't have command of the English language?
Who gave you the right to criticize me, when you have shown some poor choice of words? One being, the word "I've" in your post above. I cannot recall it (I've) ever being in a English book, or any dictionery.
Of course it may be used today in the modern day vocabulary for the many that failed English.

Directed to-- Andy

So you too had to follow with your bits of criticism. Do you always follow, and not lead?

Now may I commend you on your choice of words, or grammar.

The word "I've" also you have used in the above thread. The word must be contagious.
And here would be another one.. Second paragraph, end of first sentence. "loose" Do you have loose sleep, or is it "lose" like in lose sleep?
Oh! another one. Third paragraph, "I'd" Where is this in the English language?

Enough said on the English lesson

Now with reference, your love for body language.. Would that be associated with a dancer on a barroom table? Real body language goes on there.

And I know name dropping is not your forte, as it hurts your ear drums.

Now finally the "crab joke" bit.

For your benefit and record, the origin came from a Navy corpsman stationed onboard the USS Boxer CV-21 in June 1951 when the ship came up with an infestation of crabs.
You know the rest of the story as I posted and deleted.
