POW/MIA ceremony remembers the forgotten

(EXCERPT) Few attend annual tribute, by Pierre Comtois AREA -- "We are
the only ones that can speak out, we must demand a full accounting,"
said John O'Brien, commander of Pepperell's American Legion Post #213
in remarks Sunday before a modest but solemn group of fellow veterans.

The event was the Pepperell Post's observation of National POW/MIA
Recognition Day, which fell on Sept. 19.

For the annual observance, O'Brien chose the bucolic setting of New
Hampshire's Cathedral of the Pines with its spectacular backdrop of
Mt. Monadnock in the immediate distance behind the site's main worship
area.

"We do this every year to make sure American prisoners of war and
missing in action are not forgotte...
