The joint research project has analyzed the different approaches of European governments towards their citizens who are held in prison and in refugee camps in Syria and Iraq, including different approaches to expatriation, reintegration, and rehabilitation. The discussion paper aims to provide recommendations for the EU and its Member States and includes a clear set of conclusions on the policy and operational response to foreign terrorist fighters.

This online event will discuss the multiple dimensions of repatriating foreign terrorist fighters and examine the different views on the issue. Speakers include:

David Ibsen
Executive Director, CEP

Ian Acheson

Letta Taylor

Tanya Mehra

O Almighty Lord God, who neither slumberest nor sleepest; Protect and assist, we beseech thee, all those who at home or abroad, by land, by sea, or in the air, are serving this country, that they, being armed with thy defence, may be preserved evermore in all perils; and being filled with wisdom and girded with strength, may do their duty to thy honour and glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
