'Shoot-to-kill' demand by US and The Queen Says No
Hello Roger:
Say it again. "There is a price to pay for being a prick." Our President will not feel safe until he is removed from office in November, 2004 and is comfortable at the confines of his ranch in Texas. The President's security detail requested that the Queen's palace (sp) be reinforced where he will sleep during his three day stay in England. The Queen refused to accomodate his request. Nothing like being a bit paranoid. Peace is better than war, Famous "Roger" > > news:3fb77e8f.2170203@news.supernews.com... > > On Sun, 16 Nov 2003 1342 GMT, "Roger" > > > > > > > >news:873808cc.0311160512.6bd16c31@posting.google.c om... > > >> 'Shoot-to-kill' demand by US > > >> > > >> Martin Bright, home affairs editor > > >> Sunday November 16, 2003 > > >> The Observer > > >> > > >> Home Secretary David Blunkett has refused to grant diplomatic immunity > > >> to armed American special agents and snipers travelling to Britain as > > >> part of President Bush's entourage this week. > > >> In the case of the accidental shooting of a protester, the Americans > > >> in Bush's protection squad will face justice in a British court as > > >> would any other visitor, the Home Office has confirmed. > > >> > > >> The issue of immunity is one of a series of extraordinary US demands > > >> turned down by Ministers and Downing Street during preparations for > > >> the Bush visit. > > >> > > >> These included the closure of the Tube network, the use of US air > > >> force planes and helicopters and the shipping in of battlefield > > >> weaponry to use against rioters. > > > > > >Jesus! > > > >Jesus! What are they expecting? Do the Brits really hate him that much? Its not just the Brits. Its just about everybody in the world that hates us. Bush's arrogant gun-boat diplomacyhas lost all the respect people once had for America. Remember the glory days when people all over the world loved JFK? When the world celebrated when Jimmy Carter got the Nobel Prize? When Bill Clinton was one of the most popular American presidents, admired all over the world? -- ************************************************** ************************** An Archive of Nobel-Prize-Winning Pacifists and Peace Activists http://www.peaceuniversalist.com/nobel/prize.htm |

That would be pathetic even if it made sense, had a point, and had some basis in reality. It has none of those. It's just plain old dumb. You're getting better. Keep trying! |
