Wow!Nifty!

Always thought those Redfield scopes would have done better if they had parallex adjustment, your's do ok without it?

Will it shoot into 1 MOA? 1/2 MOA?

Post My favorite Hunting Rifle.

A 1903 Springfield. 30-06

Bishop Stock Glass Bedded
drilled and tapped for scope
3 - 9 power scope
Bent Bolt
Adjustable Trigger sits at 1.5 lbs of pull.

Put it together when I was twenty years old. Back in 1966.

Have a couple of other rifles but I know this one from way back and we are friends.

I shoot Military Rifles, mostly from World War 2. I have one .308 in enfield style made in India during the late 60's. Also have several Mausers which are fun to shoot. Only have one scoped rifle which is a SSG 97 in 7.62X 54 caliber, suppose to be good out to 700 yards but who knows........

Question Blackhawk?

What is your trigger pull setting.

I find that having a target rifle / sniper rifle trigger pull really makes for greater accuracy. The less squeeze the less jerk the more accurate. I like 1.5 lbs to 2 lbs. I believe that the standard off the rack trigger pull is around 6 lbs. (I think someone told me that somewhere or sometime).

1966, 5th Marine Scout/Snipers. I was one of the original members when the Marines decided to bring back snipers. Were you of the 7th Marine snipers?

I agree with ColMurph and Blackhawk M40A1 and M-14 were and are excellent rifles.

I think only the Army scoped the M-14 . Good idea !

The rains on the DMZ were hard on the Redfield 3 x9 Variables mounted on the Remington .
