Exclamation These United States.....

10-8-2020

“When You Have It – Flaunt It” should be the ongoing motto of the United States of America!

After all, with the exception of a damned few allies, The United States has stood squarely upon its own two feet for the better part of two and a half centuries! As a matter of fact, it was we who came to the aid and the assistance of many a friendly world power in times past – was it not?

This is not so say, of course, that they owe us anything, except for a little courtesy and respect? But apparently, and this has proven to be a fact lately – “How soon, some of them forget!?” But what the Hell, such has always been “The Nature of the Beast”, has it not?

We now, however, live in a world of “Wonder Weapons” where any damned fool can just push a button and destroy millions of lives! A world in which the horrors of “World War II” have all but been forgotten – but let me ask you this question: “With all of this awesome technology, why is it that we have opted to lead from behind instead” – or has the old saying “Don’t Tread On Me” truly been replaced by an over-abundance of diplomacy and endless chatter?

As a matter of fact, and this is only my personal opinion: But even “Our Elected President” is being gifted with far too much counter-productive adversity in the performance of his job, and this by truly intelligent citizens who fail to realize that in his hands resides “The future of Our Entire Nation” – and if we are to continue to survive, and to thrive: “Then This Has Still Got To Be Our Paramount Consideration, - Does It Not!!”

Lightbulb Is it good to imitate fear in other(s) by show of strength?

1. What is Fear? or Why is fear so powerful?

Fear is a natural, powerful, and primitive human emotion. It involves a universal biochemical response as well as a high individual emotional response. Fear alerts us to the presence of danger or the threat of harm, whether that danger is physical or psychological.

2. How does fear impact society?

But on a larger scale, fear can influence groups, communities, countries, even the world. It can consume us, depress us, lead to poor decision-making, and make us prone to knee-jerk reactions… the list goes on. In its worst form, fear can incite hatred, violence, and set back the progression of the species.

3. What is the politics of fear?

Culture of fear (or climate of fear) is the concept that people may incite fear in the general public to achieve political or workplace goals through emotional bias; it was developed as a sociological framework by Frank Furedi and has been more recently popularized by the American sociologist Barry Glassner.

4. Why does fear lead to anger?

Fear ultimately breeds anger out of the innate human instinct for self-defense. When someone feels threatened, they may initially fear regarding the possible validity of the issued threat and subsequent harm which could follow. However, in many scenarios, anger may follow or even override fear.

5. Does hate lead to suffering?

hate leads to suffering.” “I can't see where fear leads to anger. Fear makes people withdraw, anger makes people attack. But like I mentioned earlier, a complex cognitive emotion like hate could lead to suffering in that one has to maintain high negative affect to hate which consumes mental and physical energy.”

6. Does power tend to corrupt?

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority, still more when you superadd the tendency or the certainty of corruption by authority.

Note: What is another word for corrupt?
dishonest unscrupulous
shady untrustworthy
venal amoral
bent corruptible
deceitful discreditable

7. What is corruption in simple words?

Corruption is dishonest behavior by those in positions of power, such as managers or government officials. Corruption can include giving or accepting bribes or inappropriate gifts, double-dealing, under-the-table transactions, manipulating elections, diverting funds, laundering money, and defrauding investors.

8. A good posting on Political Corruption:

Titled: Power doesn’t corrupt. It just exposes who leaders really are.

Re: https://www.washingtonpost.com/busin...96a_story.html

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It seems corruption runs rapid in the Leadership today and yesterday's gone by.
Nobody is above the law! At least we used to think so. We are no longer naïve.
Nixon got his - whose next? There will be more to come if the system enforces
the law of the land.
