Post Don`t Tread On Me

Join the U.S. Navy and Proud Americans in Warning: "Don't Tread on Me"

Flags bearing rattlesnakes and bearing the simple warning "Don't Tread on Me" were first flown on the first ships of the Continental Navy in the Delaware River in 1775. Today, as America faces unprecedented threats, this historic symbol of our founding has emerged as a reminder of our origin and true courage. The Secretary of the Navy, Gordon R. England, has ordered all U.S. Navy ships to fly the First Navy Jack in place of the Union Jack for the duration of the Global War on Terrorism.

I tryed to upload image again in jpg. format and it won`t let me

I'm a bit confused; when did the US Navy every fly the Union Jack? That's an English flag.

Default I think

he means the blue flag with all the stars that flies on the front of ships on the jack staff. Not being a sailor, I don't have a clue what that is....but think it's sort of a typo.

On July 4th I always fly my "Don't Tread On Me, Culpeper Minute Men, flag. My great great great or so Grandfather was a proud member of that unit. On Confederate Memorial Day, SC's is 10 May, I, of course, Fly the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great grandfather. It flew above the SC Capitol in his honor before PC. Get lots of questions about the Culpeper Minute Men flag.
