As Goes General Motors

It wasn’t all that many years ago that the global economy revolved around the inviable axiom of “AS GOES G.M. (General Motors) SO GOES THE NATION!” And General Motors was, of course, a giant among giants and it was respected world wide, as well as always producing a variety of quality automobiles, trucks and other aftermarket products etc. As a matter of fact, I recall my own father, who worked for G.M. for many years, saying that: “People would never give up their big, gas-hungry autos for the plethora of small, imported transportation alternatives that began to flood our country in the years just after World War II!”

Well, things in the world moved on, and the rigidity of those gargantuan manufactures that refused to alter their operations to correspond with the needs of the times, began to suffer from the revenue loss that accompanied their rigid loyalties! And as such, “The Old World” began to gain ground on us by adopting a “Monkey See, Monkey Do Attitude”, along with the regimen of industrial and economic thefts that accompanied it!” This redundancy too, however will only carry any “Parrot- Foreign Economy” just so far, as the initiative, the genius and the drive of the innovator, never stands still, but rather, it, like most of “Our Nation and Her People Themselves” continues to progress, eventually leaving all such “Ditto-Economies” in our wake!

Or to put it once again in a fashion that the rest of this planet can readily understand, including “Those Giant Once American Corporations” that may have forgotten where their true loyalties lie: “For we are still the United States of America Patriots and we play second fiddle to no man or foreign nation - No How And No Where!”
