There is no rhyme or reason for any government-entity to steal from their very own people – but they do it anyway – why is that, do you suppose?

“Do they do it because they can, or do they derive some sort of pleasure out of exercising their unquestioned power upon a people whom they are sworn to protect and to serve?”

And is it still not the right of the people themselves to protest and to control their very own government, or have we degenerated so far, as to accept (nay, make that allow) these people, (who we handsomely support), to enact a semi-functioning government? Or have we truly come to accept a step by step transition from that government of, by and for the people, to a system that only works for them alone, and into a carbon copy of those “Old World Dictatorships” that men like Washington, Adams and Monroe fought to free us all from in the first place?

Some economists say a balanced budget is necessary because it helps to protect future generations from untenable taxes and helps to keep interest rates low. It also keeps the economy growing. Opponents, though, say that to reduce the deficit, taxes would need to be raised.

Hence we know their inability to balance their expenses
so move it along to the citizens who then suffer their
errors!

Sure as hell once things go south the citizen's have to pick
up or restore the balance needed.

At times I believe it's a ploy to reduce our funds so that
they can balance their lousy ability to make the ends
meet! Or live with their means. So if have to - so
should they!
