Here's wishing one and all a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

So how did y'all spend New Year's Eve? My wife and I first went to a Chinese restaurant to pick up a batch of food and a Mai Tai, then to a Tex-Mex place where I had a shot of mescal, complete with a worm, and got a T-shirt for the deed (The South Side Bar & Grille and Margarita Factory Worm-Eaters Club) which I'm sending to my niece in NC. Her father and I both got one last September and she wanted one for herself, so I did my uncle thing and sacrificed my sobriety for her. Then we went home, cracked open a bottle of Martini & Rossi Astispumante, had the Chinese food, and watched the 3 Stooges Marathon on AMC. Those guys still crack me up. And the best part was, no Shemp episodes! The toughest part of the night was staying awake until midnight. That used to be the easy part!

Celebrated the coming of the New Year by retiring at 10PM.
I think the Amish had a wilder time than we did. Happy New Year everyone

I worked 13 hours and got home and went to bed at 9:00 PM...after you get past 55 you tend to slow down some, as you know...real quiet around here... hardly any firecrackers..

3 Stooges..., I didn't like Shemp either, or that later Curley Joe, or some of those other quasi-Stooges...Only the 3 Originals for me !!! How many Stooges were there all together ? Did you see their "going to the Moon" movie ?

Larry

Happy New Year to all !!!

MD,

I believe there were 6 Stooges. Moe and Larry were the only ones who were in all of their productions. Shemp was one of the originals but didn't like that kind of comedy. He was replaced by Curly who was replaced by Shemp who was replaced by Joe Besser who was replaced by Curly Joe DeRita (I may be wrong on this). Three of them were brothers (Moe, Shemp and Curly Horowitz). Did you know that they were nominated for an Academy award for best Comedy Short? It was for "Men In Black" which they made as a tribute to Clark Gable and his production of "Men In White". They didn't win. My wife loves Shemp and even has a Shemp t-shirt. Broads...what to they know!
