Christopher Goscha is currently an assistant professor in history at
the University of Lyon II and a research member of the Institut
d\'Asie Orientale(Lyon, France). Dr. Goscha received his PhD at the
Sorbonne in the year of 2000. His dissertation entitled: \"The Asian
Context of the Franco-Vietnamese War: Networks, relations and economy
(1945-1954).
