It says in the article, towards the end, that every veteran should feel betrayed. I disagree. This man is not a veteran. He is a common criminal that took advantage of the patriotism of others. The ultimate insult is to all of the wounded American servicemen and women, from any of our wars. I hope they nail him under the Stolen Valor Act and charge him with each individual crime he committed, don't combine the charges. A jury trial with much publicity and a heavy sentence will get the message out to other fraudulent claims of service by these parasites. Or maybe just release him in the custody of several retired Marines. They may have more options to serve justice then active duty Marines.

Agree with you both, and especially regarding: "Publicity" about such phonies.
NO ONE should should ever take credit for being: "We Were Soldiers Once",...IF JUST NOT SO!!!

Still, and even though such Public Trials for such are great no matter what since will no
doubt deter others from stealing Valor,...believe that the: "Former phsychiatric patient" bit
will also undoubtedly get This Current Duplicitous Phony off-the-hook.

Being far from either lawyer or Marine,...that's how I see it.

The $25,000 that's missing that once was in Strandlof's mangy mits was money that was supposed to be given to Acorn but I think the biggest problem that might have been caused by this fraud was the fact that he preached to our Congress and a then candidate for the Commander and Chief of all American Armed Forces. The defenders of our freedoms. And he preached a cowards viewpoint that might have found a sympathetic ear.
He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
