Acting Secretary Duke and Home Secretary Rudd discussed U.S. and UK counterterrorism cooperation, including enhancing aviation security. They also discussed efforts to address terrorist exploitation of the internet and data sharing between the two countries. “The Department of Homeland Security remains committed to raising global security standards with our partners in the United Kingdom,” said Acting Secretary Duke.* “This week, we reaffirmed our commitment to counterterrorism efforts, including improving aviation security and addressing terrorist use of the internet. We will continue these efforts to stamp out terrorism and keep our citizens safe and secure.” Acting Secretary Duke and Home Secretary Rudd met in London and the G7 Interior Ministers Meeting in Italy last month.
