Default Army developing improved active protection systems for vehicle armor
Active protection systems, or APS, are under development now to protect armored vehicles of the future. Adding more armor just isn't feasible, said Col. Kevin Vanyo, program manager for Emerging Capabilities, U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research Development, and Engineering Center.
