I don't know about the rest of you, but 3 weeks of continuous
coverage of the war in Iraq has taken a toll.

God knows I'm PROUD of our troops, but some of the stuff we've witnessed can be depressing, and a little rough on the soul.

Yeah, American G.I.s have always been suckers for the kids. Even when they could often prove dangerous. Doesn't fit our bloodthirsty, barbaric image that was often presented to the non-combatants of the countries that we have fought in through the years. People that accuse our military personnel of being unfeeling towards, or unaffected by the death and suffering of children in war haven't a clue.

Wasn't it amazing, way back when? You'd give a kid a can of half eaten Lima Beans and he'd still like you! Maybe it was just the act of giving. Course with enough nuc mom on anything, it all tastes the same. Thanks Steve (Lizzy did it.)
