Ok Patriot family,

Went to Benning and survived the in-processing. I forgot how huge Benning was...during the down time I took the tour of the Infantry Museum. If you havent seen it, GO NOW!

I swore in and signed all the paperwork! I got hit in the rank department. Back down to an E-3, but the promise was there after 6 months to get E-4 back.

Ok, I will hit the 91W (now Combat Medic) refresher within 2 months and I also signed up for 95B (Military Police) and that will hit within 6 months.

Right now I'm being assigned to the 226th Signal until the 1165th MP rotates back from the sandbox.

I completely forgot how much paperwork there was involving reenlisting! Got writer's cramp, BUT IT'S DONE DAMMIT!!!

The funny thing...while I was at Benning during the downtime I went to the "jump" towers and looked at all three of those massive steel structures and I thought to myself, "Oh hell yeah, I'm going Airborne!". But after about 10 minutes of daydreaming I woke up to the fact that I am 33 and not 23! So, I'll put that idea on the back (way back) burner for awhile.

Went today and got the proper ID taken care of and had the wife with me and she got her Spouse ID. So....you know what that means...

I'M BACK IN!!!

Doc, thanks!
Took basic there and had the chance to go up in one of those towers. Realizing that the only reason that they were there is so you could jump off of them was enough for me. Quote "I wanna be an Airborn Ranger."
Looked down from up there and said to myself "I don't think so."

Hey Doc you take care of yourself - I'm sure things have changed a lot since you were last in. But you've done it - once you get into the swing of things it will be like water on a ducks back.

Might at as well go for retirement now. I should talk after doing 12 I walked. Just got tired of it and now I sometimes regret now doing another 8 but thats life.
