It is a brass eagle (emblem missing) match safe, great guess David, more to come. Gonna have to make them a lil harder to guess LOL

Just for your information the below Civil War pistol is valued at $120,000.00 and was taken from the original owner by a Mr. Gross from Maine while in battle.http://

Can any one tell me what the patch is, what corps did it denote? It is interesting to note that this unit is still or was active. Please use you brain not the properities to get the answer LOL.

sn-e3 Ok here is the info on the pistol. It was made by Tucker&Sherrard, copy of the 1st Colt Dragoon, .44 cal ball. This one was captured by Wm. L. Gross, of the 11th Maine later of the 14th Maine. This pistol was made in Texas.
