earn extra money
I would imagine that up to 2.56 years ago, many/most/some of those "Weekend Warriors" were drilling monthly just to earn some coins to augment there standard 9 to 5 wages.
Then the real thing happens and they are back in the "Regular" army .... what is a "Regular" army ? And yah'll have seen on tv how the woman or the man that stays home is now feeding the kiddies Cheese Nips and worried about paying the mortgage, 'cause the Military coins ain't doin it. I bet old "Jodie" been helping with the housework too ... ummhumm. B

It's a toss anytime - regardless of whether or not you are weekend warrior or full time. If the conflicts don't get brought under control they will have to bring back the draft and then you will hear plenty of crying from those who don't want be there!

Scamp --- just to balance the picture out, since women are away from home and serving overseas (Freudian thought omitted) .... The old man is managing the nest and probably .... since boys will be boys .... introducing his kiddies to their long lost aunt Joella, who happens to be a well toned negress that they have not met yet .... but she will helping dadee while mom's fighting for the 4 basic food groups ... or whatever .... and serving the army.... ummhummm
