Default You know you're a re-enactor if...

* Sleeping outside in the rain and mud is your idea of a fun Saturday night.

* You can identify a Regiment by the curses you hear from their camp.

* You can't sing without a mug of some sort of libation in your hand.

* You can spot 100% wool or linen from 30 yards.

* You have spent over $500 on clothes that were out of styleover 200 years ago.

* You've ever lovingly fondled your musket.

* You can eat 5 meals out of a wooden bowl, but only wash it twice.

* You have spent almost $1000 on a gun that needs a sharp rock to make it work.

* You have traveled over 1000 miles to sleep on the ground at a historical site.

* You drive by some open land and think, "What a great place for a battle!"

* You think women in 18th century dresses are sexier than seeing women in shorts and tank tops.

* You know, by heart, lines from The Patriot, Revolution,Drums Along the Mohawk, and any Monty Python skit.

* You've worn wool when the temperature hovers at 100 degrees.

* Your home dinnerware consists of items made of red earthware or tin.

* No one will watch war movie or period drama because you constantly point out the historical mistakes.

* Your re-enacting wardrobe is more expensive than your business attire.

* Your "top-ten" music selections include "To Anachreon in Heaven", The Lass of Richmond Hill", "Capt. Thunder", and 200 verses of "Yankee Doodle".

Does dressing in period costume as part of an internship count?

Re-enactors don't wear period costumes. We wear clothing made from period patterns and made with period material (wool, cotton, linen, etc.)

And what kind of internship makes you wear period costumes?
