It's Clinton's Fault. Naturally.
In a recent story out of Pittsburgh, Eugene Nestler, an 82-year-old WWII AAF veteran who flew 30 bombing missions, was unceremoniously dumped out of VA health care and into a private facility and is slowly being reduced to poverty and surely bankruptcy because of it. It's just another in a long series of slaps in the face to America's veterans, many of them elderly and frail, unable to stand up for themselves and their rights.
At the beginning of the decade of the 1990s, the VA was inarguably and notoriously the worst health care system in the country. Enter Bill Clinton, (you remember him: that dope-smoking draft-dodger who SUPPOSEDLY hated veterans and SUPPOSEDLY hated the military), who decided to change all that. He appointed a guy named Dr. Kenneth Kizer to revamp the whole VA health care system, with the result that overall quality and efficiency of health care at the VA skyrocketed astronomically. And, has been hailed as a "model" for health care improvements of which the entire U.S. private health care system should be trying to achieve. So fast forward now to the hostile takeover by these "new" Rethuglicans and the Bush adminstration and their "mouth-pieces" at the Heritage Foundation, The American Enterprise Institue and many other right-wing organizations and their "plans" for unconscionable cutbacks in VA health care and veterans benefits, inevitably resulting in numerous cases like Eugene Nestler, our afformentioned WWII veteran. Of course you KNOW it's all Clinton's fault:.................. If he hadn't been so intelligent and taken the initiative to radically improve things at the VA, then today's disabled and sick military veterans would have nothing positive to compare today's ever worsening and surely becoming more phucked-up system to. They would be -- as they should be, as they soon will be once the budget cuts are all fully in place -- happy to be wallowing in their own waste, lying in unchanged sheets, while their untreated or inadequately treated wounds or illnesses are left to fester by an overworked and understaffed system that is now being set up to fail them, not care for them. Set up why you say? The VA is now second ONLY to the Department of Defense with regards to being the MOST "costly" agency within the Federal Government. More Federal $$$$ go to the VA other than the DoD than ANY OTHER Federal agency! These 'New" brand of "compassionate CONservatives" that are constantly hollering and screaming about "support the troops" have a 'plan' to REDUCE Federal Spending...............and they'll just be damned if anything like a "promise" and a "committment" to this nations troops and military veterans for their earned benefits and quality health care will get in the way of them and their phucked-up "agenda" to CUT FEDERAL SPENDING! And what I can't understand, not at all, is the support that this lying, cheating, thieving, soldier and veteran-hating Maladminstration still enjoys from many veterans and active duty military? But, if you'll notice.................that's fast changing, all you have to do is attend a few meetings at many of the military veterans organizations and listen to the hell being raised about these misfits in charge of our government to fully comprehend just how much 'trouble' they are getting themselves into. It's about damn time! And, once again.................I TOLD YOU SO................... didn't I?

What's the matter Gimpy.....worried that you might get dumped?
Do you REALLY think that Ole Dubya has put the word out that he wants the VA to dump folks? Do you REALLY think that he has been calling the shots on this? How bout all the bureaucrats in the Government (Democrats all, if they are above GS 12) who will do anything to the Vets if they can lay the blame on the Republicans. Don't blame it on Bush Gimpy....blame it on your own party members. |

You need
to get out more Smurph, ya know. Or at LEAST get your FACTS straight!...............
Anyone with an IQ higher than road kill knows for a FACT that it's been those 'compassionate CONservatives' who have been responsible for the lack of attention and lack of funding for the VA that has led to the problems now being encountered by veterans. NOT THE DEMOCRATS! All you have to do is go to the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives web sites and look up the Congressional voting records of the legislation involved that would have corrected this bull$hit and see for yourself WHICH POLITICAL PARTY has CONSISTENTLY VOTED DOWN or AGAINST LEGISLATION which would have been beneficial to solving the VAs' problems! Don't your freakin 'hero'......'Dumbya" belong to THAT 'political party'??? Ain't he got the 'power' to control his OWN 'party"??? Or at LEAST have the BALLS to 'VETO' some of their happy horse$hit???? Hell NO..............they're doin just what the hell 'Dumbya' wants them to do! Like I said before, get out in the REAL WORLD a little more, it'll do wonders for your consumption of 'factual' information and you can THEN base accusations on something more than bigoted, biased, untruthful and totally FALSE information!........... :cd: :cd: :cd: :re:
