On November the 8th they are having an hour long show on GAC about the song and the man who inspired it. Just thought some of ya'll might want to see it.

This cable station isn't available on my satellite network. Too bad. I would have liked to have seen it.
Thanks for the rememberance, Curtis. Also, in Rememberance: On 8NOV66, while serving as a paratrooper in C co, 2nd bn, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Abn. Div., somewhere around Tuy Hoa, RVN, PFC William L. Cyr died of a gunshot wound. Bill was from Missoula, MT. He was 20yrs. old. RIP, Brother.

Damn sandstorms
My daughter bought me the Big & Rich CD with this song on it and sent it to me on this past November 5. My "anniversary" of sorts.
November 5, 1967 was the night I got wounded down in that beautiful vacation land called the Mekong Delta. Along with many other fine young men of our generation and a few whose names grace the Wall in D.C. She also sent me the 'link' to the video as well. I am so very aware that I was one of the lucky ones to have made it through that night (and many others) and be blessed with the oppotunity to come back to the 'world' and be a father to my two children and five wonderful grandchildren. They all, everyone of them, remember "Paw Paws" anniversary" and send me card and give me a phone call every year on that date. Every year on November 5 at 8:05 p.m. I stop and say a little prayer and salute those I was with that night. God Bless them all.
