Bernie Kerik to Newsmax TV: DOJ, FBI Complicit If They Fail to Investigate

(Newsmax TV's "Stinchfield")

By Eric Mack | Wednesday, 28 October 2020 08:44 PM

If the FBI is not investigating the "facts" from Hunter Biden's laptop and Tony Bobulinski's credible whistleblowing, everyone in the Justice Department and FBI should be held accountable, according to former NYPD commissioner Bernie Kerik on Newsmax TV.

"It has to be ongoing," Kerik told Wednesday's "Stinchfield" of investigations into the allegations of wrongdoing undercovered. "If it's not ongoing, everybody in the Department of Justice and the FBI should be fired."

Bobulinski's independent confirmation of the veracity of the emails should be taken seriously and not summarily dismissed as "Russian disinformation," Kerik added to host Grant Stinchfield.

"You have to believe Bobulinski, he was there," Kerik said. "And if you really want to push the Russian disinformation issue, well, then the Russians would have had to hypnotize Hunter Biden and had him take his own hard drive into some store, into some vendor in Delaware, and drop it off and not pick it up.

"We're at a point of ridiculousness. That's where we're at right now."

Kerik, who reviewed the contents of the laptop with President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani and former aide Steve Bannon, called out the mainstream media for having "all declined to report fact."

"These are facts," Kerik told host Grant Stinchfield. "This isn't Russian disinformation."
Kerik pointed to three mandatory investigations that need to be conducted by local, state, and federal authorities, including, he said:

• Child endangerment.

"Which the state authorities should be looking at," he said.

• FBI criminal investigation.

"It has to be ongoing," he demanded. "If it's not ongoing, everybody in the Department of Justice and the FBI should be fired."

• SEC violations.

"It's overwhelming," he added. "Anybody else would be in handcuffs right now."

Ultimately, this election cycle is about Joe Biden and not his family's potential criminal corruption, but Kerik said this evidence is enough to revoke Biden's security clearance.

"If it was anybody else, their security clearance would be pulled months ago," Kerik concluded. "He shouldn't have a security clearance right now. It should be pulled."

Tony Bobulinski Doubles Down: Joe Biden Lying on China Dealings

(Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight")

By Eric Mack | Tuesday, 27 October 2020 08:33 PM

Hunter Biden's former business associate Tony Bobulinski repeated his claim that Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden is lying about his connection to his family's lucrative business dealings within China and ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

"That's a blatant lie," Bobulinski, who attended the debate as President Donald Trump's guest, told Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight" about Joe Biden's denials and "Russian disinformation" dismissal.

"In that debate, he made a specific statement around questions around this from the president," Bobulinski continued to Carlson in an exclusive interview. "And I'll be honest with you, I almost stood up and screamed 'liar' and walked out because I was shocked that after four days or five days that they prep for this, that the Biden family is taking that position to the world."

Among the most explosive new claims to come out of the interview Tuesday night was that Joe Biden's brother Jim Biden responded to Bobulinski, who asked how a former vice president would justify doing business with the CCP.

Jim Biden said "plausibly deniability," Bobulinski told Carlson.

Bobulinski also added more context to his previous claim he was threatened about not coming forward with his story before the Nov. 3 presidential election.

Biden family representative Rob Walker was, according to Bobulinski, "trying to coach me, trying to say, 'we don't want to do that, we don't want press trucks out in front of our house,' I'm going to have to move, I'm going to lose my job and all of that."

"I'm not trying to cause any harm to anyone in this situation, let alone Rob Walker and his family, James Gilliar and his family, but basically, Rob's position was: 'If you go on record with all these facts, you will bury all of us.'"

Bobulinski provided an alleged audio recording of him demanding a retraction from those calling him a disseminator of "Russian disinformation."
"If he does not come out on record, I'm providing the facts," Bobulinski tells Walker on the recording.
Walker, allegedly the other member on the call, said: "Tony, you're just gonna bury all of us, man."

On the election cycle response by the Biden campaign, retired Navy Lt. Bobulinski, is disappointed the Bidens dismissed him as a Russian asset sharing "Russian disinformation."

"I feel like I have a patriotic duty to this country and every American citizen to go on record and define the facts for them, and let them do their own work, let them decide how they view those facts. But for the Biden family to deny these facts and then not only deny them, they could have just said, 'no comment.' But they didn't say no comment.

"They then brought in Russian disinformation and basically associated my name with that, which is absolutely disgusting to me, and I had to go on the record."

Exclamation How Did Hunter Biden’s Laptop Go from a Repair Shop in Delaware to the New

How Did Hunter Biden’s Laptop go from a Repair Shop in Delaware to the NY Post?
By: Bethania Palma - 10-16-20
Re: https://www.snopes.com/news/2020/10/...ptop-giuliani/

News reports identified the hard drive's source as a computer repair shop owner in Delaware.

Investigation by Snopes is as follows:

With just over two weeks to go until the 2020 U.S. presidential election, the New York Post published a story that was lauded by right-leaning media and political figures as a “bombshell” and criticized by others as disinformation resurfacing an old method of political attack.

The story was based around contents found on the hard drive of a laptop that had allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Citing emails found on the hard drive, the Post reported it had a “smoking gun” proving that the elder Biden had met with a Ukrainian energy firm executive while Hunter sat on the board of that firm.

The Post claimed to have confirmed a long-running line of political attack against Biden — namely that Biden had used his position as vice president in the Obama administration to benefit Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company, while his son sat on the board.

However, the Post’s “smoking gun” email doesn’t prove that Biden met with the Burisma executive on behalf of his son, and Biden’s campaign has denied any such meeting ever took place. Many noted that the story raised more questions than it answered.

Below, we unpack what we know.

The New York Post’s Story
On Oct. 14, 2020, The New York Post published a story headline that read, “Smoking-gun email reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad.”

The Post reported that Rudy Giuliani, the personal attorney for U.S. President Donald Trump (who is running against Joe Biden), gave them a “copy” of Hunter Biden’s laptop drive on Oct. 11, 2020. The newspaper was first alerted to its existence by Steve Bannon, a former Trump aide and former Breitbart News executive.

The “smoking gun” message is embedded in the story. It was allegedly sent by Burisma board adviser Vadym Pozharskyi in April 2015, and read, “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.”

The story didn’t offer any other evidence that a meeting between Joe Biden and Pozharskyi ever took place, and the Biden campaign responded by stating that it did not. A Biden campaign spokesman told the New York Times, “We have reviewed Joe Biden’s official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place.”

The spokesman also stated the Post had never contacted them about “critical elements of the story.”

The Post story contained a second email, allegedly sent by Pozharskyi in 2014, addressed to both Hunter Biden and Devon Archer, who was also on the Burisma board. In the message, Pozharskyi was seeking “advice” from the men as to “how you could use your influence” to help the company in a matter described as various Ukrainian government agencies attempting extract money from the company. It didn’t specifically ask Biden to seek help from his father, the American vice president.

Aside from those emails, the story included embedded images from Hunter Biden’s alleged computer hard drive which include family photographs and screen shots from a lurid video involving the younger Biden.

It also contained an image of a December 2019 subpoena for a MacBook Pro and a hard drive.

The story prompted immediate scrutiny and criticism for its timing and sourcing, dropping just over two weeks before the presidential election in which Biden is Trump’s challenger and sourced from Trump allies.

It also raised questions about whether the emails, upon which the story’s entire premise is based, were real. Some even questioned whether the laptop itself actually belonged to Hunter Biden.

We reached out to the Biden campaign and Hunter Biden’s attorney, George Mesires, with questions about the story but didn’t hear back in time for publication.

The story also raised red flags for disinformation researchers.

For example, Thomas Rid, a professor of strategic studies at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, tweeted that the story should be approached with caution, and noted that it’s an “old Cold War disinformation tactic to pass information, especially but not exclusively when forged, to low-brow newspapers that have high circulation and low standards of investigation. Ideal for surfacing and amplification.”

The Chain of Events

The Post reported that the saga started in April 2019, when a man identifying himself as Hunter Biden dropped the laptop off at a computer repair shop in the Biden family’s home state of Delaware. The laptop had been damaged by water.

Although the Post didn’t identify the shop owner, journalists were able to track the shop down because the Post failed to remove metadata from images embedded in the story. The shop owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, spoke to several reporters in a nearly hour-long conversation recorded by The Daily Beast.

In the discussion, Isaac alleged that a man identifying himself as Hunter Biden had dropped the laptop in question off with liquid damage. He also said he didn’t actually see the vice president’s son dropping the laptop off. The Post story contained an invoice naming Hunter Biden.

Isaac declined to answer many questions, but he did state that the contents of the laptop troubled him. Isaac referenced the debunked Seth Rich conspiracy theory, which holds that Rich, a DNC staffer, was murdered by Democratic political operates because after he hacked the DNC’s server. Isaac claimed he was fearful for his own safety.

U.S. Intelligence officials have concluded that it was Russian government agents, not Rich, who hacked the DNC. The Russian government had actively promoted the Seth Rich conspiracy theory, however, as had right-wing media and social media personalities.

Isaac said he was troubled by the contents of the laptop, and was therefore in contact with the FBI — although he gave contradictory statements as to who initiated the contact. According to the subpoena published by the Post, the FBI took the laptop from Isaac in December 2019.

We left a voice message with Isaac’s computer shop but didn’t get a response in time for publication. We also reached out to the FBI with questions about the claims in the story and Isaac’s statement, but the FBI replied that according to policy, it wouldn’t confirm or deny an investigation.

The Post reported that before Isaac gave the laptop and hard drive to the FBI, he “made a copy of the hard drive and later gave it to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer, Robert Costello.”

When reached by phone, Costello told Snopes that he was given the contents of the hard drive in September 2020. The contents, he said, contain thousands of emails, text messages, pictures and videos.

Costello told Snopes that the reason his client, Giuliani, ultimately gave the hard drive copy to the Post was because that’s what its source (although Costello didn’t name him, we presume based on Isaac’s own statements that he was the source) wanted done.

“We turned [the hard drive contents] over [to the Post] because the intent of the source was to get the hard drive to Rudy Giuliani so he could do something with it, bring it to the public’s attention,” Costello said.

Costello said it was “reasonable” to assume Isaac wanted the hard drive’s contents given to the Post because he was frustrated by his perceived lack of law enforcement action by the FBI, who had possessed the laptop since December 2019. Costello said the laptop’s original owner never retrieved his property, therefore it was “considered abandoned property” that “became the property of the source.”

Both Facebook and Twitter took action against the Post article, with Twitter blocking users from posting links to it. Twitter said it did so because the story included personal and private information, and its content violated Twitter’s policy against posting hacked material.

“We don’t want to incentivize hacking by allowing Twitter to be used as distribution for possibly illegally obtained materials,” the platform stated.

A Facebook executive said their company suppressed the distribution of the story on its platform to stem the spread of misinformation, pending review by Facebook’s fact-checking partners.

The platforms’ actions prompted a rebuke from Trump.

“So terrible that Facebook and Twitter took down the story of ‘Smoking Gun’ emails related to Sleepy Joe Biden and his son, Hunter,” Trump tweeted. “It is only the beginning for them. There is nothing worse than a corrupt politician.”

An Old Political Attack

The New York Post story played on an allegation originally raised to counter those made against Trump in an impeachment inquiry.

Trump was accused of attempting to strong-arm Ukraine’s president into producing damaging information on Biden by withholding crucial military aid. Trump was ultimately impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives, but the Republican-controlled Senate voted acquit him without calling witnesses or admitting new evidence. Trump and his supporters countered by turning Ukraine corruption allegations on Biden, stating that as vice president, Biden had pressured the Ukrainian government to fire a prosecutor so the prosecutor couldn’t investigate Burisma while his son sat on the company’s board.

The New York Post article resurfaced a 2018 statement made by Biden which has been widely taken out of context to show “proof” of that corruption: “I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money,” Biden stated. “Well, son of a bitch. He got fired.”

Biden wasn’t admitting to pressuring Ukraine to fire a prosecutor looking into his son’s firm, however. He was describing efforts by the Obama administration to stamp out government corruption in Ukraine, which included getting rid of an ineffective prosecutor. An investigation by Senate Republicans into Biden’s activities as vice president in relation to Ukraine concluded in 2020 without finding any evidence of wrongdoing.

Since we published this story, many Snopes readers have inquired whether a photograph included in the Post story truly showed Hunter Biden asleep with a “crack pipe” dangling from his mouth. At this time we know nothing about the provenance of the photograph: Who took it, whether it was real or staged, whether it was taken with or without Biden’s knowledge, whether Biden was truly asleep, or whether he had been smoking crack (or anything else) with the pictured pipe. We also note that the image only shows part of the person’s face alleged to be Hunter Biden.

We sent questions to the Post’s editors asking how the Post verified the authenticity of the hard drive’s contents and why it included personal images from it which were not pertinent to the story. We will update if we hear back.

Personal note:

I trust the Snopes Report of Facts - which leaves many unanswered issues as to how this data was received - once again Giuliani is involved. I suspect much of what is being reported is fabricated and/or misconstrued - and even possibly corrupted by other's to shows grounds of misleading facts.

Snopes is rather good at what they do - and they leave many opened questionable facts of their report - as being possibly corrupted or FALSE.

So here again "dirty politics" with outside vendors contributing to the defacing a political element. Which may have been jury-rigged as they call it. Politics is a dirty nasty business - just ask Trump he's a master of disappointment and what he's done to both his personal life - he does to our country.

It leaves little doubt - he will continue to pull the rug out from anyone he's see's fit to do. He's hung out with many dirt bags over his life to date. And many of them we already know. He will throw any of them under bus - at any time to prevent other's - from possibly doing him harm. He's a master at telling stories and fabrications of the facts. The games afoot as Holmes say's to Watson! There's more to come.

Trump’s Unverified Allegations About Hunter Biden, Explained

The Associated Press explains the timeline and answers key questions about the unverified allegations around Joe Biden's son.

This article is republished here with permission from The Associated Press. This content is shared here because the topic may interest Snopes readers; it does not, however, represent the work of Snopes fact-checkers or editors.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Looking to undermine Democratic rival Joe Biden, President Donald Trump’s campaign is pushing a familiar line of attack: unverified allegations about Biden’s son and his foreign business ties.

But reporting in the New York Post, and the emergence of a man who says he worked with Hunter Biden, have raised more questions than answers, including about the authenticity of emails at the center of the story.

The renewed allegations trace back to Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who has repeatedly pushed unfounded claims about the Bidens. Even if the emails in the Post are legitimate, they do not validate claims that Biden’s actions were influenced by his son’s business dealings.

A look at developments:

HOW DID BIDEN’S SON BECOME A CAMPAIGN ISSUE?

Hunter Biden joined the board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma in 2014, around the time his father, then vice president, was helping conduct the Obama administration’s foreign policy with Ukraine.

Senate Republicans said in a recent report that the appointment may have posed a conflict of interest, but they did not present evidence that the hiring influenced U.S. policies.

Trump and his supporters, meanwhile, have advanced a widely discredited theory that Biden pushed for the firing of Ukraine’s top prosecutor to protect his son and Burisma from investigation. Biden did indeed press for the prosecutor’s firing, but that’s because he was reflecting the official position of not only the Obama administration but many Western countries and because the prosecutor was perceived as soft on corruption.

WHAT DOES THE NEW YORK POST SAY?

The main email highlighted by the Post is an April 2015 message that the newspaper said was sent to Hunter Biden by Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burisma’s board. In it, he thanks the younger Biden “for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent (sic) some time together. It’s realty (sic) an honor and pleasure.”

The wording makes it unclear if he actually met Joe Biden. The Biden campaign said in a statement that it reviewed Biden’s schedules from the time and that no meeting as described by the newspaper took place.

HOW DID THE POST OBTAIN THE EMAILS?

It’s a tangled saga. The Post says it received a copy of a hard drive containing the messages from Giuliani, who has pushed the idea that Ukraine was trying to interfere with the 2016 election and that the younger Biden may have enriched himself by selling his access to his father.

The Post says the emails were part of a trove of data recovered from a laptop that was dropped off at a computer repair shop in Delaware in April 2019. It says the customer, whom the shop owner could not definitively identify as Hunter Biden, never paid for the service or retrieved the computer, and the owner made a copy of the hard drive that he provided to Giuliani’s lawyer.

The owner of the Wilmington shop declined to comment to The Associated Press, but in news media interviews he has said he contacted the FBI through an intermediary and provided agents with a copy of the hard drive’s contents.

ARE THE NEW EMAILS AUTHENTIC?

Hunter Biden himself has not spoken publicly in recent weeks, including to confirm whether the laptop is his. The Biden campaign has also not addressed that question, though a lawyer for Hunter Biden, George Mesires, said in a statement that “we have no idea where this came from, and certainly cannot credit anything that Rudy Giuliani provided to the NY Post.”

Some former national security officials and other experts said the episode raised multiple red flags about the repair shop story, especially given the involvement of Giuliani and his active role in promoting an anti-Biden narrative on Ukraine.

But John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence, knocked down the possibility of a Russian disinformation campaign, saying, “The intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there’s no intelligence that supports that.”

The FBI appeared to endorse Ratcliffe’s position in a letter to a Senate committee that requested information on the laptop.

“Regarding the subject of your letter, we have nothing to add at this time to the October 19th public statement by the Director of National Intelligence about the available actionable intelligence,” wrote Jill Tyson, director of the office of Congressional Affairs, in the letter to Sen. Ron Johnson, the Republican chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Tyson also said she could not confirm or deny the existence of any investigation, in keeping with Justice Department practice.

IF AUTHENTIC, ARE THESE EMAILS DAMAGING TO BIDEN?

The suggestion that Joe Biden might have met with a Burisma representative is consequential, because he has repeatedly insisted that he never discussed his son’s business with him.

But the emails provide no details on whether Pozharskyi and Biden actually met and, if so, what they discussed.

If Biden did meet with Pozharskyi, he was not the only U.S. official who may have done so. Pozharskyi was part of a Burisma delegation that lobbied congressional officials in 2014 in an attempt to show that the firm was not a corruption risk.

The Trump campaign also organized a press event featuring Tony Bobulinski, a man who said he was Hunter Biden’s former business partner. Bobulinski made unproven allegations that the vice president’s son consulted with his father after he left office on potential business dealings in China that ultimately never came to fruition.

He was to have been interviewed by a Senate committee last week, but the panel postponed it after learning from Bobulinski’s lawyers that the FBI planned to question him on that same day.

Bobulinksi, a Navy veteran, said in an interview that aired Tuesday on Fox News that he was motivated to speak out because he was offended by the insinuation from the Biden campaign and some Democratic lawmakers that the emails and the narrative were associated with Russian disinformation, and was upset.

As part of its interview, Fox News aired audio of a conversation it said was between Bobulinski and someone who Bobulinski said was a business associate of Hunter Biden’s in which the man, Rob Walker, can be heard saying that if Bobulinski spoke out publicly against Biden, “You’re just gonna bury all of us, man.”

Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates disputed any close ties between Joe Biden and Walker, saying in a statement that “it is totally inaccurate to describe him as a representative of the Biden campaign or any member of the Biden family.”

Bobulinski said in the interview that he had a sit-down meeting with Joe Biden in May 2017, after Biden left office, and that Hunter Biden introduced him to his father as “the individual I told you about that’s helping us with the business that we’re working on and the Chinese.” He said it was a “high-level” meeting that did not delve into details.

He also said that he raised concerns to Biden’s brother, Jim, that Chinese business dealings could put his brother’s political ambitions at risk, but that Biden responded, “Plausible deniability.”

The Associated Press could not independently verify Bobulinski’s allegations, and Biden has said he has never taken any money from any foreign countries.

WHAT’S THE POLITICAL IMPACT?

With Election Day near and with polls showing him trailing Biden, Trump is returning to the subject of his opponent’s family in an apparent effort to energize his base.

But in an election dominated by concerns about the coronavirus pandemic, it’s less certain Trump’s strategy will appeal to the voters he needs to win back, including moderate Republicans and suburban women.

Trump sprinkled allegations against Biden and his son in the second and last presidential debate.

*** Biden’s campaign, meanwhile, pointed to the recent Republican-led Senate investigation that found no evidence of wrongdoing on Biden’s part with regard to Ukraine. It also pointedly noted the involvement of Giuliani, saying his “discredited conspiracy theories and alliance with figures connected to Russian intelligence have been widely reported.” ***

Read this post: Rudy's Love/Hate Relationship With The Mob
Re: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rudys-l...-with-the-mob/

First paragraph: Rudy Giuliani clearly has a love/hate thing when it comes to the Mafia: celebrates the fictional characters, incarcerates the felonious ones, keeps mum about those in his own family tree.

Rudy knows the system. I got the feeling Rudy could swing both ways at times with his old family ties and possibly some back door operations. He knew how to put the hurt on someone if need be. Old school habits are hard to break. He's always sucking up to the higher ups for status purposes - may cross the line every now and then but he always has an out. (sofar). Sucking up to Trump because he's fellow New Yorker and has plenty of money and knows a lot of people. Not always the best though. He will get burned one of these days - he's come close a few times already.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Personal note: I grew up in Chicago's Southside - Roseland, IL. in an Italian family. I married into another one when I married my wife. Those big family get togethers were a blast - lots of humor and plenty of the homemade food and drink (grappa & vino)! Many stories from the old country and all the cousins that I never knew I had - and there were many. Poppa (Giovanni) - was in WWI - came over from Italy with his wife Annetta - my Nana. They had two son's who fought in WWII & Korea. They are all gone now and so I'm next in the food chain. But I will leave behind two daughters, and three grandkids (2-girls and 1-boy). My two girls are tougher than most guys know. They don't take an BS from anyone including their husbands. They also handle the money - as men don't handle money well per the Italian Women. And guess what they're right!!
