I can't give any advice - as I can BARELY call myself a soldier... I signed on Dec. 20th - I can wish you luck though.

The best of luck - stay safe and listen to the old people and the ones with scars - they'll tell you HOW to stay safe. Keep the faith, in your God (or find a God if you need one), faith in yourself, and faith in those around you.

I am also leaving in a couple of days to the middle east. My unit right now is going somewhere where the action is going to be. This is my second trip but alot of the guys are new and I can only ask for them a blessing from all the old warriors who gave us the right to follow in their footsteps.

10CAVMEDIC, above all else, keep your head on straight but fear can be a good thing. If there's a bottle nearby, don't drink so much that you can't aim or your brain ain't all there. Stay away from crap that makes you somebody that you aren't. You are your best keeper but the brother beside you is your best friend. The training that you have had is the best in the world and you are going because the greatest country in the world needs you and so do I. Your training is useless if you aren't there to put it to use.
