Fonda?s current journey to relevance is not unlike a star shell that goes pop, glows bright then poofs out, no light no more. Apologies with attached boiler plate terms and conditions are irrelevant and a product of a fuzzy mind and cross purposes. If she were to come alongside the truth, she would know that she was merely a toy that was manipulated, wrung dry of value, and then cast aside to hold the burning bag of Red dog shit.

There is no sin in being ignorant, imprudent and manipulated. Fonda?s problem is that she seeks relevance for an act of being stone-stupid and caught up in something she never took time to really learn about. And then to really drive the point home, she trusted her ?mentors? to fill the voids in her severely lacking formal and informal education. A recipe for disaster plus burned bridges and no way home again. But it?s all about decisions and she made hers, so too bad for her.

Being stupid is one thing and forgivable but running up the flag of stupidity and expecting a salute is sheer ego, madness and the act of buffoons.
I think Tom has the issue nailed down and media attention only serves to create the illusion of relevance and that illusion is Fonda?s life blood. Point in fact is that Fonda is irrelevant, made herself so and will remain so. I think the monument suggested would be the perfect testimony to her acquired irrelevance and legacy of stupidity.

Personnally she will never be all that she could've been because of her role in VN. I will have nothing to do with her or her movies no matter what the critics think of her comeback.

She crossed the line and that cost her the respect that she thinks she has coming. She's dead wood to me.
