I personally think he should.

The people gave O.J. a second chance , so why not Pete.?

NASCAR gave Tony Stewart a second chance ( probation ), and look where he is at, so why not Pete??

I am just blabbing away for a while as I do ( my second chance ) to make a good post.

I dont use alot of these great big words and never will, but at least I think some of you will know where I am coming from.

I really enjoyed his great baseball playing. Sometimes a little too agressive but one of the greatest of all times. I think he should have of come clean and still should come clean but he won't acknowledge he did wrong.

However, How long do you punish someone. Let him in that Hall of Fame so he can enjoy his accomplishments.

Whats that have to do with his playing days. I think they should kick every one out that ever broke any law, ooops, theres no one left. Lets go to congress next.

...as much as I admired him for his playing days, he broke "the one, and only rule" which in my mind can not be pardoned...

...if he was betting on football, basketball, soccer, ping-pong,... anything but BASEBALL, things might be different, but by betting on baseball games, he challenged the very extistence of that one "by-law" that EVERY player, coach, manager, etc has held in the highest esteem since the begining of the game...

...And worse yet, ...???? WAS HE BETTING ON HIS OWN TEAM??????, That will never come out, no matter how clean he tries to wash his laundry...

...I feel sorry for the man, as he did give so much to the GAME, and that's what it is, a GAME, a game in which he broke the rules, do not pass go, do not collect $200.00 dollars, go directly to jail...

...It is the integrity in all of us all that ties our threads together tightly, and he chose to weave his own cloth of deciet, and lies, so be it, he'll have to live with it....
