Default This site

This site VN, has evolved into something other than VN stuff.
I guess we getting old and already heard everyones stories.
But, If we can't tell each other stories hear, where then?
I can't be the only one that remembers stuff like the Jungle or all the Marines at Phu Bai. Or maybe its just me.

Post Ron,

This site cycles. I have found it very interesting. When we get a bunch of new guys in that haven't heard the stories, then stories will begin again. Some have come to grips with the past and just don't need to rehash the past any longer. But, I'm sure that there will be many more stories to come.

Default Thanks

For the kind words,
Reeb.
What is a Vietnam Forum for but to talk about Vietnam, otherwise it should be in the General forum,
I guess we just need some new people.

Default Keep coming back Ron

Actually Ron, thats why you are one of the most important and valuable people to me on this website: You really stay onpoint about this
But the regulars here are sorta stuck with knowing each other for several years now--not that thats bad but we all know each others stories by heart (just like the Nam! pretty much)
Youre really the only one that has exciting things happen to him any more, the rest of us are greying into armchair warriors.
Remember the geeat argments and discussions we all used to fight about? Why we fought Vietnam, gun control, the Civil War, etyc
One of the reasons w e don't is that there's so many subheadings and departments--on vets. com we used to talk about anything--now we go to the little niche for everything.

I read almost all of yr posts, try and respond to the ones that concern me and that I have an opinion on. Believe it or not, thats not everything
Keep coming back, Ron, this site needs you

yr bro
James

Ron,

Here ya go buddy.

Vietnam...We've all been there." --Michael Herr, Dispatches

"Vietnam is still with us. It has created doubts about American judgment, about American credibility, about American power--not only at home, but throughout the world. It has poisoned our domestic debate. So we paid an exorbitant price for the decisions that were made in good faith and for good purpose."
--Henry Kissinger in Stanley Karnow's Vietnam: A History

RON.

What James said. Enjoyed talking to you the other night, as always, Bud. You just keep on being you........spelling and all .
