Default Kerry vs. the Pat File Poll....

As of this morning, the informal Patriot File presidential poll shows Bush leading Kerry by 73% to 26%.

Yet the media continues to portray Kerry as the pied-piper of ALL veterans.

In a Green Bay Press-Gazette article:

Kerry said Wisconsin has hundreds of thousands of veterans, and a lot of these veterans are being let down ?because the Bush administration is slashing benefits for veterans. A lot of veterans I talk to would be more comfortable with a veteran who has got a record of really taking care of veterans, as I have for 35 years.?

Yeah, he's "taken care of veterans" alright.

"Alot of veterans" would NOT be "comfortable with a veteran" who is considered the "Father of the Cruel Vietnam Stereotype" of "baby killers" and "war criminals".

But as the Bush veterans continue to sit back and wait for election day, the Left is using the veteran community as a tool for their Socialist agenda.

The Left knows the symbolic power of merely a handful of men in VFW hats surrounding Kerry at every campaign stop.

This image, constantly shown in the media, reinforces the idea that ALL veterans are behind Kerry.

Now, if 5-plus months before the election isn't long enough for Right-thinking vets to stand up and raise the BS-flag, there is a bigger problem than I can see.

Veterans benefits is an important issue. BUT... National security and winning this Global War on Terror should be priority One.

Or then again, maybe history will read that the majority of veterans were more concerned with benefits for themselves, than the security of the nation, and the future of their children.

Right on Hardball. I too am tired of watching the hipocritical, minority left get all the media attention, while the silent majority stays silent. It's time for us to make our voices heard!

That's exactly why we're working so hard at getting the Veterans Journal promoted...

News and info the Left refuses to talk about.

It's only our freedom that's at stake, and other trivialities.

And the other thing is, if this nation fails, who then will take care of our vets? This may sound selfish but what was the point of our service anyway other to Protect and Defend the Constitution of the U.S.
I do not believe that the reasons that we joined the services was for the bennies we'd get after we got out (not saying that they are not deserved or needed). But when one gives a better portion of their life to or are disabled as cause of their service they should be taken care of. VETS SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF PERIOD. But the country needs to survive in order to do that. IMO

Or mega-dittos to what all have said before. I for one enjoy my retirement bennies and my disability pay, but if our beloved America doesn't maintain the strongest, most intense and proactive defense, all the benefit programs of the world are for naught.

Several years ago, I received a questionnaire from the Democrat National Committee (how the schmeck they ever got my name and address I'll never know), asking me what I considered to be the 'most important issues' of the upcoming election. There was this list of issues ranging from "Save the Whales" to "Free Health Care for All", but nowhere was the issue of national defense mentioned. Nasty ol' neocon me, I crossed out all the suggested "What Was Number One" and wrote in my choice, adding a nasty note to the poll readers, about what a bunch of hedonistic, self-seeking, entitlement leeches they were. Can you believe that I haven't heard from them since?

Default Priorities...

It is my opinion that most veterans show little understanding of the threats facing America today.

The tenacity and religious devotion of our enemies is beyond fanatical. They strive for nothing less than the COMPLETE destruction of America... and that's not even Al-qaeda... but the Left, the media and all other fifth-column soldiers.

Seems to be a levered poll, sure enough Col., and tantamount to asking if a person would rather succumb to pneumonia or diphtheria while the real and tangible threat is virulent but curable leprosy. And so, you can be assured that you?re absolutely correct, but the extemporaneous expression is an unwelcome and a non-permitted response that has gotten you booted off the DNC Christmas Card list. Oh yikes and aarrgg!!!!! Sorry bout that non-PC slip, I meant the, ?Non-sequester seasonal greeting? thing, whatever the heck that is defined as these days.

One more time and don?t forget again, ?all things that are not absolutely mandatory are to be considered strictly forbidden?. So if ya remember that simple rule-set you?ll get back on the DNC greeting list, assuming you send some money to get TJ elected, that is. He, he, he, fat chance, eh. Maybe when brimstone icebergs form in that yonner place that Dante mused about.
