Trump threatens Iraq with sanctions if US troops expelled

Re: https://ariananews.af/trump-threaten...oops-expelled/

In an emergency gathering, Sunday, January 5th, the parliament of Iraq passed a resolution asking the government of the country to put an end to the presence of the US forces in Iraq.

According to a Reuters report, Donald Trump addressed Iraq to pay for the military airbase built by the US there, if they want the US to withdraw from Iraq. “We would not withdraw entirely unless the military is compensated for the ‘extraordinarily expensive airbase’ there”, said Trump.

Trump threatened to impose deep sanctions against Iraq if it moves to expel US troops unless they ask in a friendly manner.

Tensions between the US and Iran have been escalated after the US killed an Iranian top general, last week, Baghdad. Since then, Iran has vowed, “severe revenge” for the killing of its general, Qasem Soleimani.

Ismail Qaani, who has been placed as the new Head of Quds Forces, filling in for Soleimani, has also promised to avenge the death of his predecessor.

Personal note: Mr. Trump you need to take a 3-month hitch in the battlefield (on the line) with your troops - to get an idea of what they are up against. It's pretty easy to sit in your high chair having never put your foot forward as a soldier. Put yourself in harms way as you are doing to our American troops.

I do feel all Presidents should be a former soldier(s) in order to understand what it feels like to be put into a war zone. To send men into the field - to see the dead & wounded. Take a three month hitch into a war zone like all field commanders do. Stand with your troops - rather than dictate from a distance. I don't mean sitting in a bunker - go into the field and see what the hell a real battlefield results look like. Smell the gunpowder and see the injured and dying in the battlefield. It's easy for you to give order's for something you have no idea what its actually like.

To start a war requires knowing how to finish it - and yet - justify what your doing. History will write your legacy in accordance to your performance - and the cost to our Nation.
Also Mr. President why did you start this war? Was it to put a halt - or - to deter your ongoing impeachment? Was it really necessary to take this guy now - and if so - why not sooner? You've put America into a situation that may result in - another major War - and the cost the lives of many American Troop's & Allies. Did you ever consider consulting with NATO or Congress prior to your actions? If not - why not? Some are as saying you're a rogue Mr. President or a Wild Card - why is that?

All the Men in our families have fought in: WW1, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. What about your's? Oh I am sorry I heard you have foot bone spur's - interesting. This Country needs Leader's - not dictator's.
