Default All Hands On Deck

Got this in email today.

The USS Orleck - DD886 has lost her berthing at Ochiltree-Inman Park in
Orange, TX. The city government of Orange has refused to allow her to be
returned there once repairs from Hurricane Rita are complete.

We are asking you to request that your membership and all on your mailing
lists visit and sign the petition to allow for berthing of the ORLECK at
the US Naval Reserve Center in Orange, TX. The Orange Naval Reserve Center
is presently on the BRAC list and is scheduled for closure thus making it
a perfect permanent home for the ship.

Please send everyone that you can to:
http://www.ussorleck.org/Petition2.asp
Your assistance is essential and we would appreciate your support.
Help us preserve military history.

Senator John Cornyn from TX sent me a nice form letter on the USS Orleck, He seems to have a few constituents that contacted him about this and he is replying in a positive tone about the Ship.
So, at least one Senator is replying to the petition.
