Saddam Hussein Airport

Elements from the 3/7 Cav and numerous Special Ops have taken the international airport just 12 miles from the center of Baghdad. Fox News reports that Centcom has renamed the airport Baghdad International.

Soldiers hold the road from Baghdad to Tirkrit. Tirkrit is the home town of Saddam Hussein.

Between the towns of Al Kut and Baghdad, US Marines except the surrender of 2500 Republican Guard troops.
