My dog drives me crazy. Wouldn't trade him for anything.

I was paying my storage unit bills today and the lady there had her dog with her. It was 1/2 Jack Russel and 1/2 chihuahua. Not as weird as it sounds. Had chihuahua eyes and a smaller Jack Russel body and was smart as a whip.

Excellent dog Larry. The older I get the harder it is to bury my canine friends . You never forget them.

I got some bad news today. I brought my 15 year old cat to the vet and found out her kidney function is down to 25% and she has cancer in her lower jaw. They said there was nothing they could do about it so I told them to go ahead and put her down rather than let her suffer.
I held up fairly well until they brought out a piece of clay with her paw print in it and I ran into the damndest sandstorm, which was pretty amazing since it was snowing. She was a good old cat and a good friend. She'll be missed.

Sorry for the loss of your cat. Pets mean a lot more to me the older I get.
There is a house across from my mother's. It is owned by a woman who lives several houses down. I have no idea why, but after the old folks who lived there died over 20 years ago, it has been vacant. There is an old white dog she keeps in the yard. The whole front yard is fenced in. He seems to be very appreciative of any human contact. I have been giving him frosted mini wheats, just like my dog used to eat, and the rawhide bones I had left over. I don't even think he has a dog house. He has helped me a lot. Dogs are the best. The vet that put my dog to sleep was a very nice lady. I am sure that she has done that many, many times. But she handled it and me as if my dog were the first. About 3 weeks later she sent a wonderful condolence card to me.
