Cheap Eats in the UK - Top 10 UK Chippies Named

The top ten fish and chip shops in the UK will be battling it out as judges for the 23rd annual, National Fish & Chip Awards 2011, taste their way around the country.

Seafish, a public body sponsored by four government fisheries departments has named the 10 finalists. The winner, chosen on the basis of quality, value and choice, will be announced in January.

• Wigmore Fish Restaurant, Luton

• Peck Ish Fish and Chips, Camelford, Cornwall

• Finnegan's, Porthcawl in Mid Glamorgan, Wales - a repeat appearance

• Pit Stop Fast Food, Kilkeel, Northern Ireland

• Alfie Grimshaw, Kenilworth

• Seafare at the Boundary, Peterborough, Lincolnshire

• Seniors at Marsh Mill, Thornton, Lancashire

• Scooby Snax, Colchester, Essex - another repeat appearance
