Thumbs up

My Grandfather fought in WWI , as an Infanrtyman , for the Germans. Shot in the face at Verdun . He survived the war and in the 1920's came here with his family. He died in 1964.. 40 years from now we will be talking about the last Vietnam Veteran

Default Frank

just had a birthday. He's now 108. He had to give up working on his farm 3 years ago and had to hire someone to do it for him. I had to get Deb to do the yard work and he's just given up farming. Wow. Read a birthday article on him just last week. He's a cool guy. My Grandfather also fought in WWI in the British Army. He was a Scotsman and was in the Black Watch. He probably shot LT's Grandfather. Glad he didn't kill him.

Lt.....40??? I'll be around about 50 more. Gonna live as long as Frank is due to my healthy lifestyle. I will be the last Vietnam Vet!

My grandfather was an infantryman in the 89th Infantry Division in WW1, and told me about hearing the bugle that the Germans blew at 11:00 AM on Nov. 11, 1918. He lived to be 84 and could still wear his doughboy uniform until the day he died.

that bugle was probably an alarm LT's Grandfather set off when he found that some Pollock in his unit filled his last bottle of Schnaps with water and stole the good stuff. Some things never change. LT, I am all for having a Psyco Vet "Tontiff". (SP?) We just can't let bOOger know where it will be stashed. He ain't gonna make it to last man anyway.

Here's to our Grandfathers! Hand Salute!
