WWII veteran's Purple Heart finds a home at Calif. museum
06-15-2018 10:20 PM A Purple Heart that belonged to Army Lt. Manuel P. Rodriguez, an Oro Grande, Calif. native who fought in World War II and died in the Philippines during the Pacific Battle of Bataan, will be delivered to the Victor Valley Museum in Apple Valley after a fellow veteran took up the charge to find the medal a home.
