Exclamation The Seven Hills Of Rome Revisited - MMV

Don?t look now, but the decadence that once was Rome may have re-emerged and infected the roots of the ?Second Millennia?! For what once was, may indeed be with us again, and it is now threatening to swallow up the true intent of the ?New Centurions!"

Noble ideas are often born out of necessity, and so it was with this New World. Unfortunately, however, that which is born between pristine sheets, quickly decays and is impaled upon a sword of vested greed. And it is in this fashion that we too may go the way of the idle dreamer, and quickly fade away along with the transparent integrity of fools.

So why am I painting such a bleak picture, one that is penned with but shades of ebony and gray? No bright and swirling colors here, no gleaming rays of hope, and most of all - there is no brightly polished armor to hide the harsh reality of political deception behind!

Nor is this diatribe replete with the gossamer webs that politicians often spin to mask the true intent of those who would be kings! For this, in truth, is not a new Age of Aquarius, nor is it the dawning of an era of enlightenment and genuine world unity. "It is the reality of the connected and the corrupt, made one by the evil that spawned it!"

In all truthfulness, these are dire and dangerous times indeed. We may soon have abandoned our inherent greatness, groaned aloud in searing pain, let out with a final gasp of mortal desperation, and then, like the mythical Phoenix, plummeted back to Earth in flames! And this irresistible plunge into a man-made Hades may also drag along with it (like a gigantic vortex), all of our noble intentions, our magnificent aspirations, our lofty plans, and the gallant (hard won) advancements of the past two hundred years as well?

"We may indeed be melting down at the core - morally, spiritually and ever economically - the tragic victim of our own internal blindness?"

Could it be that we have all joined hands in mutually assured oblivion? Have we not, for countless decades, ignored all of the idealistic attempts of nature to turn us into a silk purse, instead of the perennial sow?s ear that far too many would have us become?

?IT IS NOW FOR TIME AND POSTERITY ALONE TO PROVE ME WRONG!??
