“Mankind is inherently a violent lot - history will attest to that!”

Scientist claim that some 70,000 years ago, the population of humans upon this planet shrunk to a mere 2000 souls, spread out and living in pockets, somewhere upon the African plain?

It truly amazes me that, considering the wars, famine, pestilence, and our other maniacal behavior patterns over the centuries, that we were not wiped out entirely as a species! “And for the record, we have been flirting with that concept ever since!”

But enough of the woes, the trials and the tribulations of mankind! Even considering our attempts to beat nature to the punch, and blow ourselves to Hades, there has occasionally emerged a nation, or a group of men and women, that have genuinely attempted to better our lot, and in the process, insure our combined longevity! Countries and groups alike, who’s calling has been of a higher nature than that majority that seeks to de-evolve or obliterate!

“It is also worthy to note that countries come and countries go!” Only the basics of ideologies survive, to one degree or another. And this concept is indeed provable by studying the spotted and bloodied history of mankind!

For instance, there has always been the lust to control, situated right alongside those who seek nothing more than peace, harmony, and an attitude of live and let live! I suppose that a balance has been struck, be it often times a violent one! And of course, you will play the devil convincing the victims of our often violent behavior of any righteous intent on the part of those to whom self comes first, last and always!

I guess that you could say that we are in an eternal tug of war - good v bad, the evil against the righteous, and greed forever in conflict with the beneficent? And the way that I see it, the righteous could damned well lose, if that is, we as a race of beings, do not “Straighten Up and Fly Right?

We have, for some 232 years or more, attempted to lead the world down a righteous path - one of freedom, justice, equality, prosperity and peace! “All that we have got to hope now is that someone is really listening?”
