Andy is having a heat wave. It is 0. He is probably outside having a barbecue.

Default Rigger,

He ain't got to go outside..........All he has to do is take a look at his "heating fuel bill"!

That oughta be enough to SCARE him down to FLA!

Lightbulb Fla people

My older son was just north of Datona for Christmas. He stayed with his future in-laws. On Christmas day he walked out the front door with his lady and cut some roses. That's just wrong. Christmas is supposed to have snow on the trees, smoke from a wood fire (which cuts down on the heating bill) coming from the chimney, and little kids in long PJ's running for the gifts. Norman Rockwell and all that. Lots of flowers growing outside at Christmas and New Years reminds me of "another time".

Now look at the bright side. I've been to the south in the early spring or late fall 3 of the last 4 years but didn't go there with a U-Haul and Massachusetts plates. You folks should be happy! Besides, I like to go out of the house and play outside during the summer.

Fred, the wind chill factor last night in Easthampton was -35. Never said it was perfect.

Stay healthy,
Andy
PS: Saturday we will be even further south, going to Baltimore for lunch.

Even the Hawaiians complained about the weather. It was 80 every day but it rained one day. They apologized for me having to be there during that. A lot of folks still had their Christmas decorations up. I guess they were waiting for the weather to get better.

Default Ain't cold,...

...I would rather have it cold, then snow with 30' piles all around,...

...Albany was at -40 to -50 with the wind chill last night, and from Glens falls to the Adirondacks was at -50 to -60, all the weather men, and women were gleefully boasting about it, as if something in the weather was exciting for a change,...

..."tonight's forecast,......... Dark,... continued mostly Dark throughout the night, followed by partly scattered light in the early morning hours,...
..."Geoge Carlin's Hippy Dippy weatherman,...

...Yup, just throwing a few more pieces of wood in the stove, I believe it's 72 in here now,...

Default Weather reports

and such.

Tarpon Springs, FLA. (actually Holiday, FLA, but just across the sound from Tarpon Springs so we claim it also)

Low temp last night...........52 ABOVE ZERO...

High temp today................71 ABOVE ZERO....

Just got back from Plant City, FLA. (about 30 miles away) where we bought two flats of fresh picked strawberrys (about 15 lbs.). Two bags of fresh FLA. navel oranges (about twenty lbs.) and about 10 lbs. of fresh tangerines.........all just picked TODAY!

Made a side trip to Ruskin (tomatoe capital of FLA.) and picked (actually picked them right off the vines) about twenty lbs. of vine ripe tomatoes (Jackie cans them every year) and got me a quart of "boiled peanuts" to chomp on for the ride back home!!

Stopped at the local fish market in Tarpon, Springs and got about two lbs. of Grouper filets (right off the boat) for dinner tonight!

Just what in the heck is "wind-chill" anyway?????

HAW...HAW!!

"Wind Chill" is the reaction you get from other people when you flatulate in public.
