Yahoo is now using something called "Web Beacons" to track YahooGroups users around the net & see what you are doing.... seems these beacons work like cookies ...

About halfway down the page (on the right side), in the "Outside the Yahoo! Network" section, there is a tiny little "click here" link at the end of the paragraph that lets you OPT OUT of their electronic snooping.

Protect your Privacy ... pass this info along to all your buddies/groups too.

Electronic spying on just about everything. They can nail down your location on a cell phone call. If the government wants they can watch you all the time. Fortunately there are so many of us they have to do it selectively. Kinda scary but, it is also technology that can be used for good. But, governments over the centuries have been know for abuses. So Watch out for BIG BROTHER!

Thanks for the heads up about Yahoo. Here's the link to a free program that will remove all the cookies fromother sites that track your web surfing. They number in the hundreds.

When I ran it on my computer it found and removed over 50 spyware cookies.
